 Where did the idea come from for your book?

The Harp of Bona Dea sprouted from a short story I wrote years ago as one of those Mysteries of Harris Burdick exercises.  It has since spun wonderfully beyond all relation to that enchanting illustration of a boy discovering a harp by a creek.
